Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment in which a patient breathes 100% oxygen as the body is exposed to increased atmospheric pressure. This condenses the oxygen molecules and allows for the patient to breathe a higher partial pressure of oxygen. In turn, the oxygen dissolves in the plasma 10-15 times greater than normal. This super-saturates the body’s tissues with oxygen while promoting numerous physiological effects. Many individuals have shown vast improvements with HBOT and the range of medical conditions responding favorably to HBOT is growing rapidly.
